Jo Hampton is an established CV/resume professional with many years of experience writing CVs and cover letters for the New Zealand and Australian markets. 

The process starts with a face-to-face or virtual meeting: “This allows me to really assess the talents of the individual so that I can produce a CV that sells.” She selects the right combination of skills, experience and achievements, and presents them in a way that will attract the attention of employers and recruiters. Her design and typography skills ensure that the document is well-presented, easy to read, and appealing to prospective employers.

Most meetings take place during business hours, but she also offers some Saturday slots in Papakura, South Auckland.  Virtual appointments are available offering flexibility for those with busy lifestyles.

Jo also offers in-person and virtual interview coaching, to help clients engage with recruiters and managers and achieve a successful outcome.  Supply a job description, and she will identify the likely questions a good interviewer will ask, and make recommendations for answers.  She can also provide tips on appearance, language and culture to improve your chances of success.  

Jo’s early career encompassed advertising, newspapers, promotions, IT, adult education and social services. More recently, as a senior manager, she was involved in recruitment and HR in the public sector. Jo now runs a successful business writing CVs, producing manuals and conducting corporate and small business training.

She has a BA in History of Ideas and Sociology, an MA in Education and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education. As a member of the Successful Resumes Australia Committee, she has advised on management issues and contributes to the annual conference which helps writers stay up to date with current trends in recruitment.
