We prefer to collect personal information directly from you where possible.

Publicly available sources, such as your public LinkedIn profile (only when relevant to tailoring your CV and with your awareness or consent where practical).
Indirect collection and notification (from 1 May 2026)
From 1 May 2026, under the new Information Privacy Principle 3A (IPP 3A), if we collect your personal information indirectly (e.g., from your public LinkedIn profile or another source other than you directly), we will take reasonable steps to notify you as soon as practicable after collection.
This notification will include:
- The fact we have collected your information.
- The source of the information.
- The purposes for which we collect, hold, use and disclose it.

Exceptions may apply, meaning we may not need to provide a separate notification, such as where:
- The information is publicly available (e.g., a public LinkedIn profile) and you would reasonably expect us to collect it for CV preparation.
- You have already been made aware of the collection (e.g., during our discussions or when you authorise/reference your LinkedIn).
- Notification is not reasonably practicable or would not prejudice your interests.
In practice, our indirect collection is limited and low-risk, typically only involving public LinkedIn profiles when you have mentioned or consented to it in our meeting.
